Gone fishin'
On my mum's birthday, we decided to go fishing. we went in the car and drove off to Tamaki drive. when we'd found a parking space we went to our usual spot. You would remember where it is because there's one long rock and all the others are not that long. When we go down there it started raining and it started getting windy. And our lines kept getting tangled with each other or getting stuck in a rock. When my dad cast in the sea, a seagull caught the bait and flew away and I had to cut the line but it didn't get the hook stuck in its beak. Then it started pouring so much we decided to go home.

Hi Teddy, what an adventure! Thanks for writing about it. I like how you know where your fishing spot is by remembering what the rocks look like. Seagulls are always looking for a meal, it must have been pretty exciting when it swooped down on your bait. I'm glad it didn't get the hook stuck in its beak. Maybe you will have another chance to go fishing again soon. What kind of fish were you hoping to catch? When you catch fish, do you help cook them when you get home? bye : )
ReplyDeleteWhat a great thing to do as a family on Mother's Day...going fishing! A shame it started to rain Teddy but I bet your mum enjoyed being with you all. I am so pleased the seagull didn't swallow the hook!! Do you have any other favourite fishing places?
